Bible Verses About Fathers: Quotes and Scriptures on Father’s Day, Christian Fathers

The Bible says a lot about the importance of being a father and shaping the lives of your children, leaving a godly legacy for years to come.

Children are told to honor your father and mother while Christian fathers are told to not provoke your children to anger.

While the Scriptures contains many inspirational bible verses for men, here are some bible scriptures about fathers that would be great for Father’s Day cards:

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” Ephesians 6:1-3

Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4
